After Dan left I thought we were doomed. Joe had this team undisciplined and unprepared

I’d say if you don’t get excited about the egg bowl yearly then you aren’t a college football fan. It’s almost better when they are both bad and I mean that in the best way possible.
It’s college football in its old school form. It doesn’t matter what their records are the players still know each other for the most part and you have the rural ag southerners vs the uppity socialite southerners and a lot of the time it’s not playing for anything bigger than that awful looking trophy that means so much to the respective players.
When things are getting bigger and bigger and more national it is the epitome of what college used to be local and regional.

Leach has never had the resources he now has or the talent pool around him. It's easy to not care about recruiting when every one of your conference opponents all targets 1 state.
