Third-string SEC QB trivia

I know A&M has the freshman Weigman at third string. LSU moves up the freshman Howard to third string in place of Brennan.
I can't name another third string QB in the conference. I'm not even sure who starts for some schools, such as Missouri and Vanderbilt.
How many third-stringers can you name for schools other than your own?

I could not name the 3rd stringer for any SEC school (except the one’s you just mentioned) and I can’t name anyone on LSU’s roster

Very true, he did just get arrested, so he'll probably get a bump up the roster.
But for reals, I think most Auburn fans would say Zach Calzada and then some combination of Finley/Ashford. (Not sure about Geriner.)

Thanks PW. I forgot Calzada was there. I wonder if Finley has been demoted at practice. BTW, who is Bama's backup?

Behind Young, it will presumably be Jalen Milroe and Ty Simpson.
After that, I have no idea, but there are three other younger guys on the roster.

I would hazard a guess that most people wont know many other school's 3rd string QBs. It is important to know your own as A&M saw last year, you can be two injuries away from starting and we just about had to for a few series when Calzada got banged up.

IDK, we need Leto to weigh in here, but I'm honestly surprised Finley stuck around after last season.
Unless he's made huge strides, I just can't see him getting much PT anyway, but I've been wrong before.
I also have some knowledge of Ashford, and while there are those calling for him to make a push mid-season, I think that's bad news for Auburn fans unless he really turned it around at Oregon.

To further illustrate this, I was actually a fan of Dematrius Davis, just based on high school film (top 25 QB in the 2021 class).
I don't think he ever played any meaningful snaps at Auburn before transferring earlier this year.
