Shut out LSU 17-0.
Shut out Ole Miss 30-0.
Both LSU and OM were ranked. And OM was #8.
Dismantled Texas 31-7. In a bowl game.
Blew out Kansas State 45-23. In a bowl game.
He took you guys to three bowl games and won two of them. Even reached 8 wins once.

The decline started when OL coach Sam Pittman was replaced by Kurt Anderson. Mickey Mouse might as well have been hired.
And when Bert was fired, that's when we got the bright idea to actually hire Mickey.

He got very lazy and fat his last year here. Granted he had a kid, but that's not an excuse. Chad recruited better, just couldn't develop and run a team.

I may be one of the few Arkansas fans who believe Bert could have worked out. He had a good plan and it was working. The problem is that he couldn't get out of his own way.
Pittman leaving was the final straw and that was when we lost our toughness. Just look at how many games we lost, after leading at halftime, during his last 2 years. But while Pittman was the final straw, he wasn't the only straw. Pittman didn't leave because Georgia was a better job, but because he got tired of Bert screwing things up.

He was here for 5 years, and placed last in the west 3 of those 5 years. Last in the west his first 2 years sucked, but there was improvement. Then 8-5, decent year. Then 7-6, regression in his 4th year. Then 4-8, collapse in his 5th year.
All this, with more than a few NFL talents on the roster.

Hogs still own Aggy on the gridiron all-time. That won't change. You guys pay a coach who may be worth 4 million per year over 7 million a year. Jimbo will NEVER get you to an SEC Championship game and Aggy will have spent over half way to a billion dollars in coaches and facilities to win the SEC. When is the last time Aggy has won a Natty in either of the 2 major sports ? Way before desegregation I feel quite confident.

I mean Bert was the drizzling poo but yeah, he was better then Chad. Dysentery is better than Chad Morris.
