Good points... I want Bama for selfish reasons.

Saban will be done soon, and then they will join the rest of the pack.

I just saw a pod of down south something website that predicted a pod: LSU, A&M Kentucky, Vandy

If that’s our pod, screw it lol might as well take it

Because we didnt play LSU, AU, Bama, and the Mississippi schools every year for the last 30 years to get tossed in with the shite expansion teams. THAT POD SHOULD BE

Texas
AGGIE
Mizzou
OU
Period.

LSU
Arkansas
Mississippi
Ole Miss

WHY TF WOULD CRYING AGGIE trump Arkansas?

But it's all moot

BECAUSE

There will not be PODS>

Mizzou will come West and the Bama schools to the East. Same divisions there always was.

I agree there won’t be pods, but it makes more sense to put OU in the East. It keeps everything relatively the same as far as scheduling goes and keeps rivalries in tact.

You would need to go to 10 conference games though. 7 against your division. Cross division rival and rotate 2 others every year

You don’t know shite about what may or may not happen. Aggie is not too pussy to beat y’all a lot. And if you’re from Austin and went to Arky it’s because you didn’t fare too well in high school. Bye

If the pod was Arkansas, Mississippi State, Ole Miss, and Mizzou I'd be down. I could see all four of those schools pushing for that tbh.

I’m not sure why we’d have any reason to push for this pod. Sure, the school wants to keep the Arkansas fan and beating you guys is fun but we have zero connection or history with any of the Mississippi schools and it’s not like they are close geographically.

If anything we’d prefer to keep playing Kentucky, Tennessee and oddly enough South Carolina

I really like the idea of 11 conference games leaving one spot for any non conference rivalries. This past season of SEC only was really fun.

pods would only work if you plan to do away with the SEC title game. It would be complicated to determine who plays in the SECCG and I doubt anyone is for having a 4 team SEC championship series made up of all 4 pod winners.

Two divisions with 7 games and I am not sure if you play 8 or 9. I still think they like the kickoff classics.

It is cool, but the league would really cannibalize itself.

The best rotation I've seen is playing 3 teams from your pod, four teams in another pod (matched pod rotates yearly), and 1 team each from the remaining two pods. That's 9 conference games a year, and you'd play each team outside of your pod 3 out of every 6 seasons. You'd obviously play the teams which share your pod every year. The others would rotate like this: S1 home, S2 away, S3 don't play, S4 don't play, S5 home, S6 don't play, S7 away, S8 home, S9 don't play, S10 don't play, S11 away, S12 don't play.
