Apparently you didn't read the Rant because about 75% of posters were entirely opposed to his hiring.

I will always support LSU, no matter who the coach is, but I just knew we would end up with someone else besides O.
I trusted (like a dumbass) that the AD would make a good hire regardless of the status of Jimbo or Herman. Boy was I wrong..Heck even Cutcliffe and Fedora said that they were never contacted.
Some fans warned us that the plan was always going to be O, I just chose not to believe that.
Our recruiting class was about to completely fall apart, so rather than be publicly negative about the hire, I chose to be positive.
Now I would rather LSU bring Miles back and pay Joe and O to leave.

Sidney, I am satisfied with Coach Orgeron this season. The record is a bummer, but I have no complaints

But then they beat the hell out of aTm over the Thanksgiving holiday and the ESPN crawl announced that they had hired Herman and they were all happy and shite. I seen't it.
