They aren’t getting in. TCU, UGA, & Michigan are in win or lose and if USC loses, then they’ll put Ohio State in. It’s that simple. A 2 loss AL is not getting in over a 1 loss Ohio State. Particularly with 3 wins over P5 teams with winning records, and three 8-4 teams at that. It’s not just the losses it’s the lack of quality wins. And the teams they lost to are not playoff teams. Now are they 1 of the 4 best teams, of course.

TCU should be in regardless.

Even if the rationale isn't sound.
Committee puts heavy emphasis on SoS, SoR, Game Control and quality of losses almost as much as Ws vs Ls. All of the former work in Bama's favor over tOSU.
If UM and USC lose, I think they have a very hard decision between Bama and tOSU. Recency bias is a bitch.
If LSU wins, USC loses, and UM wins, Bama seems almost a shoe-in. UgA would be 3. Um 1. They aren't setting up a 1 v 4 first round Mulligan after UM drummed tOSU on their homefield with UM's star player limited to out for the most part.
That said, I don't think any of that happens and the CFP is set at UGa, UM, TCU. And USC. If only USC loses, I think it's tOSU in vs UGA in round 1.
Honestly, it's fun to speculate, but not worth the emotions displayed on the board so far until next weekend unfolds.

The LSU fanbase is heavily invested in this.

Pssst...They're not getting in over 11-1 OSU. Even if they did, this is a flawed bama team that would be 1 and done. Even they know it.
Quit being embarassing.

You're going to be very disappointed on Tuesday when bama is sitting at 5.

All of this guessing is probably a waste of time. Viewership is the goal. Too much money to not keep the rankings as is. GA, Mich, TCU, and USC. You will have every side of the country watching. THAT is the goal.
Everything else is just something to do to pass the time.

On the contrary, most of the Alabama fans on this site have already concluded that we aren't good enough this year.

Thank you Arkytide for replying in a mature and rationale manner. Yes, it is fun to speculate - that’s the point of message boards.
My post is primarily based on logic, the overwhelming majority of responses besides yours are little more that trite quips.
With that said, i challenge your assertions on Alabama v. Ohio State regarding “strength of schedule”, “strength of record” and “game control”. (I conceded the strength of loss to Alabama in the op, fwiw).
Respectfully, please provide supporting evidence/argument Alabama > OSU is sos, sor and GC.

Ummm, I mean I was replying to the OP which stated bama has zero justification. Bama at 5 on tuesday is basically saying they're a TCU or USC loss from getting in...

The Bama thing would be #4 and make it to the NC game.
