Really not that bad, 4 hr production w 1 hour commercials, 15 minutes an hour and you factor in that 14 min of it was halftime so really only 40 minutes during the game itself, I wonder how this compares w the Super Bowl?

Yes, 25% of a broadcast being commercials is excessive.

Commercials are almost always eight minutes of every half hour show. Has been this way for a long time. Millennials with short attention spans just aren’t used to that because of streaming services, so it seems worse to them when watching a live event.
