The East is ripe for the picking. Why aren't any schools making a major coaching change? Especially TN?

It remains to be seen what Kirby can do when he gets his recruits in there at GA, but this year didn't seem to prove him as capable as a head coach as he was in the assistant spot. He deserves more time.

Coach Mack has done ok at Florida, winning two division titles. But I think he's already hit his ceiling, and he's not a master recruiter.

Muschamp at USC should have been an interim offer. He's not cut out for the top position at any school, IMO.

The real head scratcher is TN. They are a sleeping giant. I think a great "system" coach like Briles or Petrino would light things up there immediately since the east is already down. Media would blast a pick like Briles, but fans would rally around him and it would soon be a non issue once he starts winning.

The best coaches in the east right now are at the "bottom" schools : Mason and Stoops. Even if Mizzou raids MSU for Mullen, I think they would have at least had 10 win seasons every other year.

So....why no coaching changes in the east?

UTAD is not serious about having a winning football program.

Butch is benefiting from circumstance right now.

McElwain has won the division 2 years running, however much stock you want to put in that.

Vandy and Kentucky are bowl eligible, can't ask for much more.

Boom had a solid first season, bowl eligible.

Kirby and wiBO are first year coaches.

There will be plenty of time in the off season to discuss this shite.

I heard Saban is announcing his retirement after NC...maybe you should worry about that?

What?

Kirby - 1st year
Muschamp - 1st year
Odom - 1st year
McElwain - 2nd year
Mason - 3rd year
Butch - 4th year
Stoops - 4th year

Kentucky and Vandy are just tough jobs. UT has hired 3 coaches since 2009.

Mac still hasn't had a full season with his starter. He's 10-1 with his beginning of the season starters if I'm not mistaken.

Nice. Give us a breakdown on the West coaches, now.

Orgeron?
Freeze?
Sumlin?

Sorry. the West is not looking too stellar either, out side of Saban.
