I posted a couple pics on the OT a couple days ago - already an icy mess in Austin, TX. 5-8 inches of snow expected overnight, and no temps above freezing until Wednesday probably.

Pussies.
Its been like that for a week and a half already here in the Midwest. The high today is 1°, windchill currently -17 in the middle of the day.
My heater won't turn off, its set on 65° and I have a fairly new/well insulated house.
RIP to my wallet.

We are getting forecasts of ice, sleet and up to 12-inches of snow with another storm rolling in Wednesday night.
Global warming my arse. Al Gore you lying sack of Schiff.
We still have ice on the trees and grass from the previous storm.

I was out of town during the week and forgot to check my gas level before leaving.
Came back to 20° inside the house, water and toilets frozen solid, and everything in my freezer thawed out
I was very lucky though, I have PEX and didn't seem to bust any lines or fittings, toilets didn't crack, and was able to get my tank filled yesterday.
A rookie mistake I wont make again.

Be safe!
If you need anything don't hesitate to ask Ted2010, Todd Greene, or texag7.

Sorry to hear that and glad everything seems fine.

Ice like that is the worst. I've lived in northern places that have snow from October until March, and snow like that is not a big deal. You can easily drive on it. That ice shite causes deadly roads, knocks out power etc. Snow is fun, ice is hell.
Makes me glad to be in Florida where it's 82 currently. Hopefully that shite doesn't come down this far, because I know it'll be that ice hell.

Good luck everyone.
Unfortunately we have to deal with another brutal day of low 70s and sunny with slight winds near the ocean in San Diego. I’ll probably grill out to prepare for the torrential good vibrations.

Apparently side by side refrigerators/freezers spaz out when its colder outside the unit than inside and it doesn't come on.
It was warmer inside the freezer than in the house.
