The bad boy persona isn’t going to last long. They may win a championship or two but that program mentality isn’t sustainable in the long run. Especially in baseball

Sure if that’s the only way they can win championships. There are other ways.
This type of menality isn’t new to college or professional sports. There are multiple examples. Most of the teams/organizations make some noise but fizzle quickly. I think the key is that it’s effective with the right mix of players but can also fail miserably with the wrong mix. It’s high risk high reward.
