It's pretty obvious you don't have kids. Anyone who has kids they love would want their kids to take the full ride to the rival school, and that would be their favorite school for at least 4 years.

I'll take the full ride all day and support my child and their team 100%, no-brainer here. Some people take this shite WAY too serious

I'd give my life before my son/daughter accepts a scholarship to State or LSU

You can't take it with you.

The experience of watching my child play for LSU would be priceless

Letting the child choose is not a cop out. You be a good parent and do what's best for your child and support him/her no matter what.

Your favorite school/team bullshite is trivial when it comes to family especially your kids.

It should be your kids choice, not yours.

Never understand why parents force their kids into decisions that aren't ultimately theirs.

I realize that the parent is the one paying for the education more often than not, but still...

well no shite. but if my kid has a full ride somewhere, im going to push hard for that school. but ultimately it is the kids choice and you support whatever choice he/she makes

I'd imagine that if you could land a scholarship offer at Auburn, you could land one for other schools as well

I don't really consider tiny big 12 private schools/3rd rate party schools in the west Texas desert to be rivals to Texas A&M University.
