It's late but I'm getting this one last Sunday OP in

I've been doing less OP's during the week so I can do more in Sunday, and so I hope the Class of 2021 skinny jeans and dipsy doodle hair new posters aren't upset about any of it

Aggie is basically paying $30 for a cheeseburger from McDonald's and pretending it's filet mignon.

When other folks point out or ask why they're paying $30 for a cheeseburger from McDonald's, the retort is, "Who cares, we're rich."

LSU is paying Coach O $6 million a year. You're paying $30 for that chizikburger.

He got the raise after winning a national title and going undefeated. You have to expect to overpay for that. Big difference between that and what A&M did. Jimbo got an extension and a raise for beating UNC in the Orange Bowl.

It has always been about the buyout more so than the yearly salary. Insane to me that these schools lock themselves into a guaranteed salary for 10 years.

They do it seemingly to “secure” their coach, but really, when has any contract ever stopped a team from pilfering another coach, ever?

It seems like it’s ultimately just a gamble that is more likely to affect the institution negatively, rather than actually keeping hold of a good coach.

I can't decide what's more comical...your obsession with A&M finances or the fact that you think you can get a good filet for $30.

Oof.

It's just an example.

One that really hit home for you apparently.

At a restaurant, no. I can get a good filet for around that at Costco though. The bigger question is why wouldn't you just get a ribeye and pay less for a better steak that's twice as big.

That's a different question.

And I get both from my local butcher, not Costco.
