I hate to break it to you, but Florida could have scored far more if they wanted to. Other than holding some putrid offenses to 14 points, that defense didn't accomplish anything. The 2005 version at least kept UT in some games for a while. The 2008 defense was a paper tiger. The 2009 defense performed much better Georgia, South Carolina, Alabama, Florida, and UCLA. Auburn scored more against us in 2009, but that offense was also considerably better.

The 2005 team should have went to a SEC championship, there was so much talent on that team.

USCjr had 250 total yards in 08 compared to 350 in 09.

UT forced 4 turnovers against UCLA in 08 compared to 1 in 09.

UGA had Matt Stafford in 08 and was ranked 10th compared to the 3-3 UGA Kiffin played against.

UT had more total yards than UF in 08, UF had 243 compared to UT's 258, but UT had 3 turnovers which is what killed our defense every game.

Kiffin did a lot better than Fulmer against Bama.

Yeah, because of these losses:

16-7 Florida
27-14 Georgia
6-3 Bama
16-15 South Carolina
28-24 Vanderbilt

Would could have easily won any of these games with an offense with the scoring ability of Cutcliffe's or Kiffin's

Yea but the roster was stacked. Jason Allen, Parys Harrelson, Omar Gaither, Jesse Mahelona, Kevin Simon, Eric Ainge, Arian Foster, Robert Meachem, Aaron Sears, Turk Mcbride, Jerod Mayo.

Its unbelievable we were bad.

It's not like he has a full year to work on that class. And Dooley just had to keep Hunter from changing his mind.

And out of curiosity, what did he say about the difficulty recruiting at Tennessee?

I agree... and it's not really close. but both were solid. You are seriously underrating the '08 D-squad.

I don't think they were horrible, but they also aren't the elite group some try to make them out to be.

I like that data manipulation.

I don't know the numbers, but how do turnovers against South Carolina and yards against UCLA compare?

I know how points do.
