Considerably more talent? You do know that Vandy could have more draft picks than UT this year. Experience is so important in football. I don't care how talented a player is coming out of highschool, they are at a disadvantage to any other players that have been playing in college football.

Juniors and seniors in college are getting world class training and has been in a system for over 3 years. They understand it. They have learned football. Ut has yet to have that luxury yet.

Kiffin also forgot about lesser games and got beat by Ole Miss, Auburn, and UCLA, all teams UT were much more talented than.

You think UT was more talented than Auburn? We had a good secondary and running back, but that team was shite.

Guess you missed the Kentucky game, him losing the locker room, etc.

Every coach has a bad loss. Saban-ULM, Miles-La Tech, Spurrier- Vandy and UK. It happens.

What do you think is going to happen in the locker room when the seniors are losing their spots to younger guys. Do you think they will be happy about it?

As opposed to just losing slightly less games over that same period of time and then having to start over anyways

And you know this for a fact how?

How many more years until you say he's on the hot seat?

Eric Berry, Dan Williams, Montario Hardesty, Denarius Moore, Luke Stocker, Jonathan Crompton, Jacques Mcclendon, and Chris Scott all got drafted.

Add in Rico Mccoy, Dennis Rogan, Aaron Douglas, Gerald Jones and you have a good team.

UT didn't have depth at linebacker, thats it. That team was good.

A lot of coaches also have big wins, too. Dooley has none at all.

I don't expect him to allow a battle his one marquee recruit and his position coach and essentially fire the coach involved after the season is over.

The fact that he has 1 winning season in 5 years doesn't tip you off? Yeah, he's probably about to start kicking Saban's arse any year now.

That may not be the stupidest thing I've ever read on this board. But it's close.

He's on the hotseat now but not as bad as everyone says he is. Obviously consistently getting 8 wins in a season won't cut it at UT, but he will easily survive if he gets that this year.

Richt's seat was hotter last year than Dooley's this year.

A lot of coaches also don't have two rebuilding jobs.

Bagget was fired because he was lazy at recruiting. He ruined our relationships in Memphis.

Again, two rebuilding jobs. Look at coaches records and you will be surprised what happens they have to rebuild.

7 wins and Dooley is gone without question.

Wrong, if UT is in every game, he is going to still be here with 7 wins, hate to break it to you.

Right. I forgot Saban was walking into excellent situations. Miles inherited a perennial power at Oklahoma State.

He was fired because Dooley is spineless trash.

No, he's not. If he doesn't win 8, he's gone.

8 draft picks were on that team. 8. 6 after the 09 season. UT had more draft picks than a lot of teams that year. A lot. Very few had more.

I bet UT was starting more walk ons, too.

Unless half the team dies in an accident between now and when the season starts, it's the truth. The guys in power hate him and know it's just a matter of time.

So if he wins 7 games, but UT is competitive, he will be back? Teams will have a field day negative recruiting UT with that result. You cannot really even call 7 wins a sizable progression. Looks like more mediocrity to me.

7 wins against this schedule and who Tennessee has returning would indicate that Tennessee has an awful, awful coach.

Shula was a good recruiter and Saban is the best in the business. Saban still didn't have good years at MSU until his last year, and its not fair to compare any coach to Saban.

Miles won 4 games his first year there and went 8-5 his second year. That includes losses to Southern Miss and La Tech. Miles played 6 ranked teams in those 2 years, and Dooley had 5 this year alone.

The Sullins bros were the only walkons and with players like Chris Scott, Douglas, and Mcclendon on the line, they aren't that bad.
