Current projections have 5 SEC teams in: TAMU, Bama, Ole Miss, UGA and LSU and the first 3 teams out(teams that would replace one of these teams) is Tenn, Okie, and Mizzou.

The UGA game is the scariest. You would need help but if you lost by 1 score to UGA and won the rest of your games you could be a 3 loss playoff team. You need 2 other of these SEC teams to have 3 losses too though.
10-2 Ole Miss gets in over 9-3 Texas
Why? Because Texas scheduled OSU and Ole Miss scheduled Tulane.
Rinse and repeat.
IMO we should be encouraging those games, not discouraging them.. but that's what would happen. It'll be the same argument for the B1G teams with 2 losses vs SEC teams with 3 losses. Their schedules are garbage comparatively, especially next year..
That being said, I don't know how you fix it. Either way, I hope we keep playing those type of games..

Losing to the Gators is the reason you are out. We are going to end up 6-6 at best so a very ugly loss on your resume. You are going to have at least 4 losses anyway, so I would not stress out too much thinking about it now.

I'm not stressing about it either way.. it's a good topic even if Texas isn't in the discussion at the end of the year. As I already said, I think Texas will lose at least one more game.

Why They are a dang good team. At least their two losses were to good teams. Both top 5 at this time. They win this week, they are finishing 10-2.
Because ND under Freeman always drops a game to an unranked opponent. 24 Northern Illinois, 23 Clemson, 22 Marshall and Stanford.

I think LSU finishes 11-2. LSU winning out was the easiest path to this many 10-2 or 11-1 teams though. lol.
Having to include Oklahoma, Vandy or Mizzou was going to take too much jumping around on teams schedules I didn’t have memorized.

10-2 Ole Miss isn’t your enemy there. It’s the damn at large spot, the ND love and the shitty OFC schedule for most Big 10 and Big 12 teams. Welcome to the gauntlet of the SEC brother.

They might lose this Saturday. But if they win, they will not lose another bc they know they have to win out this year. Similar to last year after they lost to Northern Illinois, they knew they had to win out and they did it.

Notre Dame is gonna win out and make it....just saying
So P4 champs
+
Notre Dame
+
G6 Champ
...leaves 6 spots
Indiana will make it.
I'd be surprised if a second ACC team didn't make it, as Georgia Tech and Virginia keep climbing
Alabama-Tennessee winner
Ole Miss-Georgia winner
Texas-Texas A&M winner
LSU?

Not a chance.
LSU has a minimum of 2 loses and as many as 4 in their future.

They aren’t making it over a 10-2 SEC team at 10-2 themselves when UGA is the 2nd loss.

How da phuc is everybody gonna win out when they play each other?

Georgia Tech remaining schedule
at Duke
Syracuse
at NC State
at Boston College
Pitt
Georgia
They are going to be 11-0 when they play Georgia.
The SEC is going to beat each other up. We will get 4 teams in the playoff at most.

Hypothetically..
Texas wins @ Kentucky by 17 (Texas +10)
Ole Miss wins @ Kentucky by 7
Texas loses @ #9 Georgia by 2 (Texas +19)
Ole Miss loses @ #9 Georgia by 21
Texas wins vs Oklahoma by 17 (Texas +11)
Ole Miss wins @ Oklahoma by 6
Texas wins @ Mississippi State by 13 (Texas +10)
Ole Miss wins @ Mississippi State by 3
Texas wins vs Arkansas by 15 (Texas +9)
Ole Miss wins vs Arkansas by 6
Texas loses @ Florida by 8 (Texas +2 + home/road differential)
Ole Miss loses vs Florida by 10
Texas wins vs Vanderbilt by 17 (Texas +12)
Ole Miss wins vs Vanderbilt by 5
Texas wins vs Texas A&M by 13 (Texas +8 vs comparable teams)
Ole Miss wins vs #LSU by 5
Texas loses @ #1 Ohio State by 7
Ole Miss beats Tulane by 35
So 8 comparable games that Texas wins all 8 matchups by a combined 81 points..
But Texas also lost to #1 Ohio State on the road in the 1st game of the season.
That's worth 82 points for Ole Miss?

It’s really dumb we have 5 guaranteed champions in the playoffs when we only have 4 power conferences

lose to Miami for ACC - would make them 11-2
