The 65 picks out of the SEC in 2021 were the most by a conference in a single draft in the Common Draft Era (since 1967).

At least none of us managed to go 5-5 with 7 draft picks.

Stevens, Cox, McMath (5 games), Marshall (7 games)
Vincent-Sat
Chase-Sat
Shelvin-Sat

So 5-5 with one day one pick who played 7 Games and a True freshmen 3rd string qb who led a game winning drive @arky.

ACC. Miami and Florida State were still great and Virginia Tech, Boston College, and NC State were putting out good talent too.

Now that conference is Newspring and everyone else trying to stop tripping over their own arse.

And thank God for aggy being in the conference with ZERO in the 1st round, ZERO in the 2nd round, ONE in the 3rd putting the SEC over the hump. Congrats....

B1G teams were harvesting SEC talent for decades and winning NCs with them. The talent at DL with big and fast players is just different in the south. Talent and teams today are more geographically true than ever before. I think most other conferences have rightly concluded that the SEC is the greatest show on turf because of it.

Pretty remarkable Jimbo built the 2nd best team in the SEC and 4th best team in the nation! Dude is a coaching genius.
