The SEC is THE elite baseball conference

So half of the field is from the SEC. Add in newcomers Texas and Oklahoma and you would have 6 of 8 teams in the CWS. It is only going to get better.

Can you imagine if there was that kind of dominance by one conference in terms of teams in the finals in football or basketball (and I know for football it could be said that is the case with Georgia and Alabama). It’s just great to be in the SEC.

All SEC west this year, but the SEC is top to bottom stacked in baseball year in and out

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I didnt think OU historically was all that great in baseball?

I think that is true. Texas has had lots of success in baseball but not so sure about Oklahoma.

I just looked it up. They've been to the CWS twice since 2010. Most of their success was in the 70s

Did you not say historically?

They have two titles and tons of appearances, including 11 CWS appearances. Compared to Aggies 7

By far the most teams in Omaha since the 1990's began. It's not even close.
