2 years in a row a team that burned out quickly in the SEC tournament has won it all.

Shoot, 3 of the 4 teams that made it to Omaha burned out pretty quick and it could be argued that Arkansas OR Auburn could have beaten the other side of the bracket and ended up in the championship series.

How long until we see most SEC coaches show up to the SEC tournament and phone it in completely? (Or will we?)

South Carolina has more CWS titles than SECT titles

There’s a reason for that, at least during Ray Tanners tenure as coach

This is nothing new outside the SEC. I've always been amused by how much importance is given to our tournaments by fans and the media, but the SEC is competitive and cheerishes every opportunity to beat each other up.

Sec tourney needs to be single elimination especially when ou and Texas join
The double elim format is too much coming off last regular season series and a week before Regionals
Plus with rain it was ridiculous games were starting at 10:00
Big 12 had it at rangers indoor park

It is a good tournament. You can keep your bats and fielding hot. I would let my starters rest and get my mid week and freshmen arms ready for a losers bracket run.

LSU has won both in the same year a few times. Other teams have as well. I don’t think there’s a clear correlation. Just depends on the coach’s approach and what type of team it is

I believe the reason for this is the SEC is so loaded with depth and talent that it may be harder to win the SEC than the CWS. The winner of the SEC gauntlet probably is not as hungry.
