They arranged to fire the Arkansas athletic director just to make Auburn players concerned about losing their head coach a week and a half before the Iron Bowl.

Their Byzantine schemes know no bounds.

The REC has become self aware.

Only way Malazahn goes to Arkansas is if Bama finds a way to win the iron bowl and he finishes with 3 losses. If he beats Bama and goes to the seccg and playoffs he will be back at Auburn next year. No way he walks if they go to the seccg and especially if he goes to the playoffs.

Does Gus like living a life where every game is a "must win" or else he's fired? Wouldn't be like that at Arkansas. We'd give him 5 years anyway just like we have with Bert.

Why would Gus leave Auburn for Arkansas?
Y'all should bring Strong home instead.

I get that and if he somehow manages to lose to an undermanned Alabama team he will be in Fayetteville but he isn't leaving if he goes to the seccg and especially of he wins and gets to the playoffs.

I dont think any team would put the stipulation "Beat the #1 team in the country or else" clause in the contract

Gus is fine. Unless he wants to leave

You'd better watch your mouth...shite like that can make a person spoken of in the past tense.

I don't understand this one either. Maybe he would prefer to lose to Bama in the middle of the season as opposed to the end of the season.

Is Arkansas going to make a play for Malzahn? Is this really a thing? Do y'all really want Malzahn?

It seems that is happening. To me it would be far better than what we have but wouldn't be my first choice.

I'd rather see Norvell or Campbell.

If Gus were to end up at Arkansas, it would cause the largest about-face of a fanbase on tSECR since 7SU hired 0.

Gus has his roots in ArKANSAS & from many ESPN talking heads, that is the allure to him leaving AU & going back home. FWIW. From a roster perspective, not sure which team has more coming back next yr. Is it assumed AU's QB goes pro?

I'd say half hate him half love him. From what I know about him I'm not a fan but honestly I'd rather win games with an a-hole than lose them all with a chubby, fun guy.

I think Stidham's only a sophomore. He can't go pro yet if I'm right.

I will always believe Les was headed to Michigan, until chaos ensued and a 2 loss LSU found its way into the Championship game in 2007.

He has been out of HS three years, so he could go pro.

I don't see that happening. There is no way he would be picked in the top 3 rounds. His name isn't even mentioned when talking about QB's and the draft. He will come back for one more year.

This surprises me a bit. Of all of the qb's in the SEC right now, I think he is the most likely to start for a nfl team one day. Anyway, you're right he isn't declaring for at least another year.
