They will be dismal and money talks and bullshite walks. The advertisers will demand rebates or a change. I am glad it’s all sec final but it’s bad for ratings and the game.

A true expanded playoffs will end the bama monopoly due to injuries and less time for the 1590 consultants to work. (See the LSU, Moo U, Auburn stretch of games last time Bama beat Georgia to win Natty)

There will be huge upsets etc which will breathe life back into the game. Let’s face it, unless you are bama fan, this is boring as hell.

It will be a good deer hunting day for the 70 perfect of SEC fans that will just DVR the game or just see who won, (it will be bama ) on twitter or something.

Expanding the playoffs this year still would have resulted in Bama vs UGA this year.

That’s a poor solution if you’re trying to fix college football’s problems.

A twelve game playoff produces the same results: two sec teams in the final game.

So how this works is, they could have had a twenty team playoff and uga and bama would have rematched...

The Bama/UGA NC game in '18 was one of the highest rated playoff games ever. LINK

I’ve not heard one logical argument as to how expansion would change outcomes in college football.

It’s not college basketball where if WKU goes crazy shooting they can beat Duke.

WKU can play Bama or UGA 10x each and would walk away with 20 losses. The difference between elite and good is really unique compared to other sports and likely stems from recruiting, but is a fact nonetheless.

Forget Cincinnati, even a team like OU with Baker Mayfield and Kyler Murray back to back isn’t going to win a championship in a tournament setting unless they can recruit at a top 5 level consistently.

4 teams is all we need

Hell we should just crown the SEC champion as the National Champion

It ends up that way 70% of the time it seems

Maybe but then you would have involved more people more fans. Ohio State could have beaten someone, maybe someone else. if Bama us something unbeatable why did that barely beat LSU, should have lost to Auburn and get their arse stomped by Auburn in back to back games in 2018. Yet they still won natty easily with this format. Playing physical top 15 teams back to back to back takes its toll. You can’t be up play perfect every game, people get knicked up etc

due to injuries

You're pulling for injuries?

You're supposed to want to play teams at their best not scrape by because a player got hurt. I personally hate seeing players get hurt.

M8chigan thumped this years version of overrated Ohio State. Bama and Uga would beat them by 60.

Another "hopes and dreams" post from a swamp kitten.
Seems to me, that it won't matter the rules or format, if you have the athletes along with the coaching that have the ability to adapt, which Alabama has both of at the moment.
I like our chances if the format is 40 teams or 2 teams in a vacant lot.
Bama is strong and will be there, and always have been more than anybody else in the SEC.

We can thank Bama’s MVPs Max Johnson and Tank Bigsby for getting us to this point. They shoulda had 3 losses

The college football monopoly has ruined the sport. Nice job gumps. And that little schart Kirby is doing all he can to copy daddy Saban.

Haha, so not true. Michael’s Bulls were fun. Lakers and Celtics dynasties were fun. Yankees dynasties were fun. Guess which college football team has the highest rated games? Alabama. And why? Because you tune in because you love them, or you tune in to see them maybe lose. But, you do tune in.

And boring? Yeah, I’m sure everyone has been “bored” watching DeVonta Smith, Derrick Henry, and Julio Jones play football. What a snooze fest eh? Watching all these terrible athletes play football lol you’re so stupid.
