I’d be good with a minimum of a one year membership and 2000 posts before you can post threads. Maybe one year and 30,000 posts for the Sidewalk Tigers of the world.

When I joined the Dirt Burglar website (OU fan forum) in 2017 prior to the Rose Bowl to talk shite, they had a 100 post minimum (or thereabouts) before you could create topics, so I used their help board and poliboard to shitpost my way to 100 in about 10 minutes and I was off to the races.
Think about how that could affect the rest of this entire ginormous website, and what the admins would have to consider on this issue in the big picture.

I think it would be much simpler to just have better moderating. It doesn't have to be a tea party, it can still be edgy and zany, but some of the total garbage can simply be nipped in the bud just by following the long standing existing rules and guidelines for posting. You wouldn't even have to be a nazi every single day, just be a nazi one day a month and that would be enough of a chilling effect to keep this place in order.

You should maybe first figure out if they even don't like shite posts. I'm pretty sure they do.
After you've been here awhile, you start to notice patterns. Certain threads that don't get anchored here and there, certain threads that get moved from the scoreboard and back, etc.
It ain't the threads that are filled with stats and good discussions, I'll tell you that much.

I beg to differ sir. There is nothing but trolls here these days. Rational, thoughtful discussion is a thing of the past. It is what it is and that is unfortunate.
