The quad-melt will be awesome.

Tennessee is already in full-blown meltdown and is showing no signs of slowing.

Either Ole Miss will be melting over sanctions, or everyone else melting over lack of sanctions.

Auburn or UGA will be melting over losing SECCG.

Aggies or LSU will be melting over Jimbo.

Get ready baws, this will rival 1/9/12.

If you Barners lose the SECCG, they could also be melting about Gus going to Arky.

If we're being honest, the SECCG is one of the least interesting things going on in-conference this weekend. If they had a TV channel dedicated to the UT coaching search, I would probably be watching that with the game on in the corner picture-in-picture

Listen to Knoxville radio instead of Gary during the game. Someone called in last night wanting Mark Mangino to coach!

could be a quint-melt

If Bama doesn't make playoffs b/c Wisc beats OSU, then SEC fans will be melting about a non-melt from Bama fans. The top 4 teams would deserve to go and Bama wouldn't deserve to. We get that.

If Bama doesn't make playoffs b/c OSU beat Wisc and got in with 2 blowout losses including a 31 point arse kicking at the hands of a 7-5 Iowa team, there will be a Bama melt (and I'll be an active participant).

If Bama makes the playoffs, there will be some SEC fans (looking at you LSU) who will melt about them not winning division and they got a "mulligan".

Nah.
If Fisher doesn’t happen, Plan B kicks in.
Regardless, Ags don’t melt.

Job of BCS - put the 2 best teams against one another for title. It did that in 2011. You just didn't like the outcome.

Job of Playoff Committee - put the 4 best teams in the playoffs against one another. It may do that and you may not like the outcome again. FWIW, I don't know if Bama deserves to be in or not (universally viewed as the best team in country prior to their one loss on the road to a top 4 team), but I DO know that OSU doesn't deserve to be in. You can't lose by 31 to a 7-5 team - in a game in which you were dominated and QUIT - and still be rewarded with a shot at a national championship. You win the Big? Congrats. That's your reward for the year.

Mangino is a hell of a coach, actually. Make fun of his appearance all you like, but goddam, he took Kansas.... KANSAS... to a prestige bowl. The problem is that he's a son of a b!+ch to play for, and makes too many enemies because of his abrasive personality. If he could ever learn to tone that down, to hell with the fat jokes, hire the guy. Opposing fans can make all the fat jokes they like as Mangino's team drops 40 points on them.
