Shinn doesn't make much sense. He was on the field a good bit of the national title game, caught a couple balls, and had one deep ball he had in his hands till he got blasted by the safety.

Maybe it's just Black and White that there are a couple players better than him who were injured last year and expected to push him down the depth chart?

LSU has 10 Juniors declare for the draft early and it is the end of the program.
They NFL ready and would have been a asset to your '13 season. LSU's program will be still be good without 'em.

Alabama has 5 players kicked off the team for disciplinary reasons and it is all good.
None of them were huge contributors to the team. They could have potentially been an asset, but they hadn't proven much thusfar.

They up at the top portion of the chain.

Calloway should have never been on the team to begin with.

I also think I remember some drama with Shinn and Woodson shortly before signing day,Woodson for sure. If they didn't want to play for Bama, I don't understand why they sign and waste that time. Same for C.Grant a few years ago.

Assuming Bama needed to lose ten, which I think is too high. I don't think they need that many to leave. These six plus some of the graduated RS SRs will take Bama over the 10 mark.

I said earlier, and still believe that Bama will be under 85 again this year and be giving out more walkon scholarships.

eta... do I need to bump the "Shinn is going to be great thread"?

All four charged Bama football players (E. Williams, DJ Pettway, Tyler Hayes, Brent Calloway) have been dismissed from the team, per Saban.

Good for Saban.

Seems like this happens at the same time every year.

Players have more time to do dumb shite between January and February.

SO what is going on?

Rats jumping of a sinking ship? Bama players sick of Saban? Dumpster fire at the crapstone? All of the above?

Keep this up for a few years and will be like the University of Auburn.

Am guessing that each of these players still have to sit out a yr at any new Div. 1 school? Of these 4, who has the best football ahead of him at the collegiate level?

Yes they would. Eddie Williams is probably the one that will be most heavily recruited by FBS type schools. I think a lot of these guys will have to drop to FCS/D2. Cue N.Al

Because getting rid of players who put 4 years into the program is always a nice thing

They have their degree and have yet to contribute on the field. Bama has more than done good by them, time for them to hit the road and give someone else a chance.

He dropped a ball. That means he didn't meet Saban's standards. Makes perfect sense and that's why Saban is so good.

If they put 4 yrs into the program, they had every opportunity to get an education on Bama's dime. I think that's a really nice thing, don't you?

Yes a 4 year degree in General Studies should have the big time employers knocking down their doors.
