Article says a task force was involved, so I'm inclined to believe actual child porn. I don't think those kind of entities are targeting 19 year old guys with nudes of a 17 year old girlfriend. If this is the case, what a complete failure by this family to let this kid spiral like this.

This kids family monitors nothing this kid does and apparently never had. Didn’t he get caught speeding and reckless driving almost immediately after he was bonded out for the Bramblett’s deaths? And while he was under house arrest he failed a drug test?

It has to be the former. The way this goes is usually someone’s IP gets snared for stuff that they search for with this kind of nomenclature in their history.
That’s what really incriminates someone for possession.

You can take from this article that if you plan on committing crimes while under 18, smoke a lot of weed. It helps getting youthful offender status.... Great precedent to set. Sober kids don't get second chances.

Seeing that the investigation was initiated by the Alabama Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, it is probably the former. If you have some old pictures of some skank from highschool on your phone, they tend not to be involved in that. I suppose he could have been sending them out to people over his phone but it would probably be to people he knows and we would have heard of other arrests in the article.
