I used to think they would get robbed of good players and suffer. But, I’m starting to change my mind. I think we are going to see a whole group of young talented players get pissed and have to drop down a conference. Why? Teams are going with the quick fix and plugging holes instead of pushing their young players to develop.

It won’t be every team doing this but I can see tons of young guys getting pissed about never seeing the field and entering the portal. But, because lack of game film, they have to drop down a level where they can actually play and develop their talents. This will leave some teams trapped having to continually hit the portal to plug holes. Kills the team unity due to a bunch of hired guns and egos.

I think it's going to burn both ways.

Decent point by OP.

The whole game is hurt when fans barely know the players. Instant transfer needs to DIAF.

Yep. Alabama will take central Michigan's all-american, but will get 3 former high 4* recruits who can't crack the 2 deep at Alabama or Ohio State
