Yeah....and it's 700 yards fewer than the year before.

2015 was Jeremy Johnson at QB which was an epic failure. Hardly Grimes fault.
You are right there. More Gus's fault. He is still here, isn't he?

Every year Grimes was there we finished the top 5 in rushing offense.
And every year those numbers went down.

You're a special kind of dumb if you're solely attributing offensive production to the offensive line coach. I agree we gave up too many sacks, but we have a coach coming back that is familiar with our offense and did some good things while he was here, one of which helped produce the greatest team rushing attack in SEC history.

I for one, am not too particularly worried about our offensive line. Auburn has managed to produce a 1,000 yard rusher 9 straight seasons, or something like that. It'll be interesting to see how Chaney plans to make up or reproduce 2600 yards without Chubb/Michel.

Easy.

Run the ball 58 times a game with two more 5* running backs.

I love it, here's the part where Georgia fans start to discredit Chubb and Michel and act like they're any other back.

I didn't. I said it was Gus' fault for not having a QB. I'm pretty sure it is right there in my post. However, the OLine does have a lot to do with offensive production.

While Grimes was at Auburn the first time Auburn gave up this in sacks:
2013-18
2014-15
2015-19
Those are actually not bad numbers, but he certainly did not improve the numbers. And while the numbers were not awful, Auburn wasn't throwing the ball a whole lot, either. In fact, Auburn was in the bottom 3-4 teams in passes attempted while he was there.

Because Georgia can't seem to find anybody to run the ball?

Not at all. But we will be better throwing the ball, don't you think? I mean we lost one receiver and have a 2nd year QB, with a much improved OLine.

Seems I remember people saying we were toast when Gurley and Marshall left, too, though. Our 3rd string RB scored from 64 yards out on your defense in the SECCG.

Basically, what I see in this thread is Auburn fans think last year was a fluke and Georgia fans think it's the start of something potentially special.

No UGA fan discredits what Michel and Chubb were. We just no what we have in the backfield. Auburn fans are really just jealous because any of the backs on our depth chart would be starting for them next year.

Nah I would attribute it to the fact that our OL is full of monsters with the best OL coach in the country. Followed by the fact that Swift is a monster and we have 4 and 5 stars lined up behind him. Elijah Holifield was a 4th string and would start at most schools in the country

Chubb and Michel were badass. Gurley was badass before them. UT, UF and Auburn fans already know that swift is a badass. We signed 2 badass rbs. Holyfield is a freak specimen. Why would anyone doubt the uga run game? Such a dumb idea. Don't be dumb.

You are a special kind of homer. You didn't have kerryone out in any of the past 3 uga games. He did well once. We shut him down twice.

Nah, I think he said "imma go take tj yeldons job at Jacksonville and make him be a 3rd down back, while leading my team to the afc title game as a rookie". Pretty sure that's what happened too.

You do realize that Kerryon had 6 more touches than Sony Michel in the SECCG?

But Kerryon was out?
