Can’t be right.
Alabama signed 27 this year, 25 last year and 2 transfers, 27 in 2019, 22 in 2018 and 29 in 2017.
Surely he’s wrong and Alabama is playing by the same set of rules as everyone else....

Nobody, not even the Alabama recruiting nuts can explain how all that shite works.

Per TidalSurge, in the 3rd post in the thread at this here link:
quote:
How Bama can take 26 (+?) in the 2021 Class:
It appears that Bama has 26 signing limit spots available — 25 2021-cycle spots plus 1 unused 2020-cycle spot that a 2021-class early enrollee can use. Due to knee injury, Tim Keenan might grayshirt (enroll Jan-2022; count vs '22 limits). Bama might also be able to utilize voluntary withdrawal replacement scholarships, which don't count toward annual 25 limits, only the 85 total limit

We just can't help the fact that everyone else is stupid. If your guy doesn't figure out the system, how is that our problem?

I meant explain it without lying.

You act as though “the system” works the same for every program. That’s cute.

They really don't. They just hide behind a pinned comment in their recruiting thread and say read this.
1. It's poorly written(probably on purpose)
2. The numbers still don't add up.
It's odd no one else is doing it. It's almost as if Bama pays the most.

gray shirts that is the system. Saban has the capital built up to when he ask a kid to gray shirt they say yes sir. When other schools ask they look elsewhere.

Yeah. We all believe these kids are paying their own way while waiting for a scholarship to open up too.

Just because you don't like it or can't understand doesn't mean it's a lie.

It is so easy to play the victim. It is pathetic, but easy. If it makes you feel better to believe that Alabama is given an unfair advantage (i.e. "cheats and gets away with it") that is fine. Keep crying and your team will keep losing. OR, hire the people who can find and exploit the loopholes and change the way you do things.

Do you read 247? Or rivals main board?
By your logic every program in the country is playing victim because it comes back up every signing day.

Yes - by my logic - everyone is crying and we are winning. I don't understand what you are not understanding

Alabama fans are always thinking that their "mindset" affects the program.

It all comes down to the fact that the 25 rule is based on academic year, not "signing class". That means that the 25 limit is based on which academic year kids enroll in.
Fall Enrollees + Next Class Early Enrollees - Greyshirts - Academic Scholarships.
It's isn't a complicated concept. What can be complicated is knowing exactly who is grey shirting and who is on an academic scholarship. Typically we end up signing 1-2 kids a year who have sustained injuries in during their high school senior year that basically mean they will not have any shot to contribute as freshmen (Caden Clark in 2020, Tim Keenan in 2021). They decide they'd prefer to come to Alabama and basically defer enrollment until the following Spring (meaning they count towards the next class). We also generally sign 1-2 kids every few years that are legacies or don't care about paying their own way (Will Reichard, Paul Tyson). These kids DO count towards the 85 scholarship limit but they DO NOT count towards the 25 signing class cap.
What's strange is that some of you truly think that Alabama is, out in the open, violating what is essentially a "counting rule" that is easily caught by the NCAA and by anyone who works through the math. And that the NCAA is letting Alabama do it in front of everyone. That's pretty stupid.

All I know is - we are winning on a consistent basis and you are not. Call it "mindset" or "cheating" or "that bully stole my lunch money" - whatever. Facts are facts

That is 100% because of Nick Saban.
Fans can only buy tickets and make noise.

So what you are saying is that Nick Saban is the best at what he does. I agree.
