The OU & Texas posters aren't worried about fans, how about players?

I see our new OU and Texas posters were not impressed by the crowd sizes in our conference.
I can understand people in other conferences get tired of hearing about the SEC "grind", but numbers are numbers. Numbers have no opinions.
While OU and Texas recruit at a good level, let's compare their competition. In the last four recruiting classes not surprisingly OU and Texas was either number 1 or 2 in Big 12 recruiting rankings. But who was #3?
2018 - TCU was 3rd, they would have been 9th in SEC
2019 - TCU was 3rd, they would have been 12th in SEC
2020 - TCU was 3rd, they would have been 9th in SEC
2021 - Ok St was 3rd, they would have been 12th in SEC
It not just that there are SEC teams recruiting higher than OU and Texas, but that the majority of teams they play will be more talented than the most talented non-OU/Texas Big 12 member.
*rankings 247 composite

Tu and OU don’t recruit poorly, but they go from 1-2 to somewhere around 3-8.
Plus tu classes get overrated AF. That’s why when they fail, they get pegged as underachievers which they are but they make it worse on theirself.

How did TCU recruit between 2006-2009? Patterson put together a team that would have beat Bama in the NC. (we also would have beat them if colt wasn't hurt)

Now do Iowa State against the same criteria.

OU is recruiting better each year Riley has been there last year we picked up a player after the ranking had finished that would put us in the top 10. We mainly missed out top 10 because 3 of our recruits told us they were coming and left last minute and we only had 16 recruits total. OUs overall average was 4th last year. Not worried about recruiting one bit watch OU in 2023.....

Been impressive. Should be consistently in top 5 recruiting going forward. They develop talent very well. Surprising to many but they have depth most places. A must have in the SEC.

I'm worried about ensuring trench depth. I think our schemes will work ok defensively if we keep the staff together but we need to hit on OL/DL targets
Im not overly concerned about skill talent.

I don't understand. Iowa State would have been lower than any of the teams listed.
