Probably the greatest ownership of any major rivalry in SEC history, although I definitely concede that this was one of the most memorable plays in football history.

Good call. I will happily settle for second all-time then.

Hard to believe for well over a hundred years it was one of the best most competitive rivalries in football.

At some point every Georgia-Auburn week of every year, without fail, my father will say "the road team will probably win because that's what usually happens." My father is pushing 80 and stopped caring about sports years ago lol.

Yeah only recently did UGA take the lead. Kirby Smart is the difference in that rivalry just like Nick Saban was the difference for bama Tennessee. Crazy how one coach and some bad moves by the other program can completely change the dynamic.

Georgia finally met their ceiling after stopping screwing around with their potential. Georgia still has the same problem in basketball. Great recruits in Georgia but they dont want to go there. Jabari Smith literally said he wanted to go to Georgia but he also wanted to win.

I remember when that play happened I was like “ Auburn is so damn lucky” then the kick 6 happened.

It's the only reason people outside of the SEC completely forget about the Prayer at Jordan-Hare.

I don't know it there's any great will to be really good in basketball. It'd be cool if Georgia was really good, but Georgia being so historically bad in basketball doesn't bother me as a Georgia fan.

When Kirby came in, shared his vision and made a list of demands, the donors met the challenge and wrote the checks.

Gotta give CMR some credit here.

Turned the tide against AU (10-5) and that's with a couple of AU fluke victories.

Georgia got really really good. We didn't.

Seems impossible to beat you guys anymore. Well, seems unlikely we beat many teams anymore...

There was a time during Richt’s tenure that both teams had scored within ten points of each other during the entire series

How did ‘94 end as a tie?

The prayer was very consequential for AU fans but nobody much else cares. Georgia fans are like 'typical Richt'. The Kick6 was extremely consequential for both participating teams and their fans.

Each team scored the same number of points.

Always within about 3 games one way or the other and about 8-9 points difference all time....it had to be one of the most competitive series more than 20 games or so there has ever been.
