"The one time Nick Saban got fired"

https://www.espn.com/college-football/story/_/id/17340913/remembering-one-alabama-crimson-tide-coach-nick-saban-got-fired

Per Glen Mason, Offensive Coordinator who brought Nick Saban to Ohio St. in 1980, describing Saban’s recent success;

“It's a perfect storm. You put a guy that's on the cutting edge of recruiting and coaching and works tremendously hard and put him at a school that has the ability to do those type of things.”

That describes Sark & Texas.

Sark pushing all the right buttons. Got a commitment from a 4 stat WR at half time last night, scheming your Heisman winning receiver into coverage by a linebacker, A+ in his introductory press conference this afternoon. ??????.

Stepping on to Campbell-Williams Field for the first time; "That is a massive facility"

Sark: "I know this much, The Eyes of Texas is our school song. We’re going to sing that song, we’re going to sing that proudly." "That's our song and we're fired up to sing it."

Sark is the best functioning alcoholic since Bear Bryant. You gotta respect that if nothing else.

Yeah, Texas can do all this crap and has so many resources available.

But you never actually do it and it's this same shite every few years.

Just as Saban never had a single player opt out of gong to the White House to meet Trump, Sark will pull this off and have his team united.

Sark head coaching record:

5-7
7-6
7-6
7-6
8-5
9-4
3-2

He’s basically Nick Saban already.

Started a thread last night asking how long it would take Texas to claim part of the Alabama championship. No one guessed more than 24 hours.

Texas fans are going to be melting bigly when Sark finishes 6-6 in back to back seasons.

I enjoy reading the diverse comments and opinions from supporters of The Flagship Schools from other states, and the occasional comments from the supporters of the little brother schools.

The inflection point in Alabama’s success started when they beat Texas. Is that not relevant?

No one here cares about Texas. I never realized how meaningless and boring the Big XII is until we joined the SEC. Just an irrelevant group of teams playing in small stadiums at 11 am.

We heard this about Tom Herman too. Sark had everything an OC needed to be successful at his finger tips, just like literally ever other OC under Saban. How many of those OC's from his title teams at Bama have been above average since being weaned off Saban's teet? None.

Your boosters will find a way to meddle and frick it all up, just like they did Herman. Sark is your last hope, once Texas ruins him no other coach will go near that program. With the temptation of 6th street right in his face how long before he relapses and gets piss drunk and makes a fool of himself? Good luck with Seven Win Steve
