It has nothing to do with which rivalry is bigger. Alabama winning another NC is meaningless to Auburn fans at this point. But if UGA were to win one, AU fans would lose the whole "1980" thing, and that would kill them.

Exactly. Having a more recent title and 1 more heisman are literally the only things au has over uga as a program. Pretty much any other fathomable metric uga leads, sometimes significantly.

Well Clemson has been better recently. And we are talking about comparing a a title from 2002 to 2018 VS 2010 to 1980.
