There was a strong chance we would've fielded a "decent" team next year with so many starters returning (only two senior starters this year). Then you're stuck with him again in 2022 and it would've further drug the program into the ditch

Combine that with 0-13 against Georgia, LSU, and Bama outside of Jordan Hare and the #53 ranked recruiting class and the decision was obvious.

Had to be made a couple years ago. Now recruiting is shot and youre looking at a 3 year rebuild

Should’ve been done at the end of ‘18 when he shut the bed by losing to Moorehead and Pruitt. Now he allowed recruiting to slide and it will take a couple of years to build up that line he neglected for years.

At any rate, it’s over and it’s best for Auburn. So good luck with your replacement staff.
