Good (subjective) article on the play that won Clemson a National Championship over Alabama.

It's hard to defend even when run cleanly, and if they're going to pick you basically impossible.

It's only considered "lethal" now because little nicky didn't like it being run against him. He has no problem when running it against others though. He's a spoiled little beotch.

Alabama certainly runs them. And I'm sure that they run them illegally sometimes.

This one is a big deal to some because it was the last play of a NC and it was pretty egregious.

There's nothing wrong with being annoyed by it as an Alabama fan. And there's nothing wrong with fans telling us to suck it up.

What is the rule?

It looks to me like the receiver ran straight into Humph, extended his arms and shite like a block, then just fell into his knees

Basically a cut block made to look like a trip and fall.

What did Saban even say about the game-winning play? I don't recall him complaining about it or anything like that.

Guess how we know you didn't read the story or for that matter anything Saban's ever said about that play.

I hope he's dumb enough to be saying the Upchurch TD in the Iron Bowl was on a pick play. That would be solid gold since Upchurch was the only receiveron that side of the field.

If that's not it, I don't know what else he could be talking about. Bama didn't throw a TD pass in the title game and the SECCG was a beat down.

Clemson ran an illegal pick play, but the play ended up being perfectly legal from their standpoint.

Alabama's defensive back grabbed Clemson's player (the one supposed to set the pick) and Tony Brown ran around them both, leaving Hunter Renferoe wide open.

Here's a gif. Humphrey grabs the receiver. Not sure if that's allowed st that distance or not.

The receiver dives at his legs/falls at his legs. No way to know if it's intentional or not. I guess you could look at how they ran the play at other times during the year.

Either way, until they call it, seems like a great strategy to me.
