This man was President:
TAB debuted
George Wallace reached peak Gump
These guys released their first album
Pushbutton Telephones were made available to the general public
An 18 year old student at the University of Alabama at that time would be 73 years old today, which would make him just a tad younger than SCRooster's kids.

January 1, 1963. The Orange Bowl. I remember it well.

My favorite 2 parts of that picture have always been
(A) Wallace looking like the biggest nerd on earth with the microphone necklace
(B) The fat arse pear shaped State Trooper next to him. Like that oompa loompa is gonna whip any arse.

Since then Bama has lost to Oklahoma in 2001, 2002, and 2014 correct? Am I missing any games from the 70’s, 80’s,? I know we did not play the Sooners in the Stallings era. It’s Franchione going 0-2 and Saban going 0-1 correct?

You're correct, and apparently there was a tie in there somewhere. I was genuinely surprised to learn that. We don't get to make threads like this about Bama often.

Fun fact: I own Joe Namath's chin strap from that game.

Hey, that's pretty cool. How did you come by that?

You wouldn't happen to have the photo where Forrest Gump was at George Wallace's speech, would you?

2002 and 2003
2002 was the Tyler Watts drop the ball game in Norman and 2003 was the Stoops fake punt game in Tuscaloosa against might 4-9 Alabama

quote:I prefer to call it the Lane Bearden is the most badass punter of all time game. He ran the frick over their All American LBer. I also recall we held OU to their lowest rushing output in history, negative 38 yards or something. Bama should've won. After the game Watts was so distraught he tried to shoot himself but he inexplicably dropped the gun
