The King of All Mascots coming back? It's the offseason; have a laugh. It's not serious.

Or is it going to be brought out before the first game of each season? Saban could actually ride it and that would be himself at the pinnacle of all college football of all time.

A live elephant would be pretty sweet. My daughter was obsessed with elephants as a kid. So, they sort of have a special place in my heart.

But would he ride it shirtless like O?

Oh God, I guess I'm going to have to put Saban on the elephant. Barney fricking Miller just came on though, so I'll probably wait a bit.

That's nice, Lunatik. It wouldn't really be that big a deal. Just rent one of the now jobless circus elephants for a day, and send 'em back home to the elephant field.

I haven’t been to a circus since I was a kid, I wonder if you can still ride elephants anymore

That's her, Tusc. There are probably some elephants living around Tuscaloosa. Hell, they have to live somewhere; sometimes I see them on the wall.

I'm no expert but, I'm pretty sure you can't in North America. They aren't at any real circus any longer, again, as far as I know. I think their participation fell victim to the anti-animal cruelty cultists.

I wonder how many elephants they couldn't find homes for.

You used to be able to ride elephants at the zoo in BR. Haven't been in quite a while though.

Thought this was Bama’s running of the fans thread and then I saw how thin the elephant is.

No telling. Even some of the raggedy circus outfits had one or two and there were a good amount of those type.
The big time circus probably had 8-10? on hand at any given time. And there were a few big conglomerations. Again, I have no idea but there were probably over a couple of hundred maybe?

I'm sort of preoccupied with a pool game, television, and posting, give a short synopsis of what you are describing.
Sure, you know, the treatment of elephants, especially in older times like the 1880's and up until probably the 90's or somewhere in there, was horrendous and shameful.
I just really don't think elephants were being horribly abused recently like they were back in the bad old days. But, there have to be a thousand stories of sadness out there relating to elephants.
Then again, especially in much more modern and civilized times, many of those circus elephants were saved from laying in the dust with all their blood gushing out of their open socket sinuses. Some of the elephants came to the circus from a much more dire situation.

PETA and thr animal rights people never think ahead or care what their actions do. I know they had to put down a bunch of the greyhounds when they banned dog racing in one state. Like Greyhounds love to run, how tf is dog racing cruel?

How did you get Serraneaux’s mom to pose for a pic?
