The kicking game has been huge this season for LSU (players and coaches). Check out the philosophies of the two coaching staffs of the top two teams and think back to Nov. 5th. Mainly looked into because people are constantly saying it was only Foster's fault for Bama's loss to LSU.

2011 LSU FG Stats:
50 + yards - 0/1
45-50 yards - 0/0
40-45 yards - 3/3
35-40 yards - 3/3
30-35 yards - 2/3
25-30 yards - 3/3
20-25 yards - 3/3
< 20 yards - 2/2

2011 Alabama FG Stats
50 + yards - 0/4
45-50 yards - 2/6
40-45 yards - 0/2
35-40 yards - 2/3
30-35 yards - 5/5
25-30 yards - 4/4
20-25 yards - 4/4
< 20 yards - 1/1

Brad Wing is obviously the best punter in the country and we have excellent punt coverage. Bama actually has a pretty good punt coverage unit also (even though it still is not close to LSU's level).

Had Bama and LSU's kicking game been equal...Bama would have won. LSU's special teams is very underrated IMO. Wing is very damn good.

I just thought it was interesting because Bama has a good punt team. Playing field position looks like it should have been the obvious choice in that game as the Bama coaching staff should have known they didn't have the kickers. Obviously the stats proved that.

If Bama plays field position differently it could have completely changed the game.

Special teams is the biggest difference between the two teams.

I believe this was conceded long before the 5 November game. So what is your point? Are you playing Bama today or Georgia?

Injury free because we don't want any excuses.

His point was that coaching is what lost the game.

Another feeble cry for respect...that is so refreshing.

Coach Saban wanted to let LSU know "It's not you, it's me."

Breaking up is hard to do!

I'm glad that inferior coach is gone.... He blew it for you. Glad you can admit that.

I never thought of this nor did any of the other Gumps and we are ashamed we overlooked it. I just realized that LSU is upset because there was no "closure" in their relationship with Coach Saban. In order to heal the wounds that divide our two program I have taken the liberty to locate a Dear John letter generator and create a Break up letter. I hope this makes things better between the programs in the future.

quote:

Dear LSU, I'm terribly sorry I had to do this through a letter, this didn't need to be done, but I wanted to.. This note will be the last memory you'll ever have of me, Im done with you because I decided to be with your best friend, my bad.. Don't let it get you all upset inside, We were not a good match. It is because of your extreme mental problems that keep me from being even remotely interested in continuing this relationship with you. You'd be much better off finding a person that can deal with crazy way you Never shaved your arm pits. I might miss certain things about you such as the time you flirted with my father at our family christmas dinner. I'm glad this is done and we're going separate directions for good. I think you'll find someone to cheat on you daily, and write a letter through text messages. And hopefully we will be incredibly far away. regards,Coach Saban
