Based on threads and comments on this forum alone, way too close to call.

Their ranking methodology is very flawed

also as pumped as I am to see Auburn continuing to rise in these rankings, let's be honest, at least for undergrad studies, the difference between 1 and 200 is relatively small

Now do research R&D expenditures, starting salaries, and other more relevant measures of the value of institutional contributions and educational value.

That will reveal a few surprises.

Correct, UGA should be ahead of Florida.

Not sure how you would apply this universally. I find it funny you bring this up since Texas A&M does spend a fair amount of money on, you guessed it, agriculture. With that and oil & gas being hot, no shite it's going to look better, but reality is that only applies to very little of your graduates.

For starters, 20% of it is what the faculty of peer universities think of your school

This was discussed in the previous thread.

If I recall, Texas A&M is one of the few large public universities that has all of this concentrated on one campus, whereas for example, Alabama has its medical school and primary research facility located in Birmingham (UAB).

Not taking anything away from A&M, but just pointing out that these rankings compare physical campuses, not systems as a whole.

Really not sure how you can use this at the undergrad level anyway? That's more graduate/PH.d type of stats.

Yeah, I'm not trying to pump up any particular school or program, just saying that these comparisons are hard when each campus in an overall system has a different function.

And as we said before, the metrics used for these rankings are usually dubious anyway, as each applies different weights to various non-academic factors.
