I agree with you that Washington is the better program and I think some of the picks on this list suffer badly from recency bias, Oregon in particular. They've had a great 15ish year run but that's pretty much it.
I think the hang up people are having on the UW v. UO facility quibble is facilities other than the stadium itself...the locker rooms, the operations building, the gyms, and so on. I don't know enough about UW's to give an opinion but Oregon's are really nice.

Same. It is the worst. Completely kills my energy.

Hmm I wonder why Aggie doesn't have more to show for this ranking?

A&M at 10? Lol gtfo. Everybody knows that's bullshite, including them. Why would florida, georgia, or auburn be mad? Haha, I'm sure they will take their programs success and trophies over some bs houston chronicle ranking. Aggies are so dumbfrickish.

Get that and ALL the Piped-In music OUT of the Icon.
If I want to hear PIM, I'll go to a Saints game.........

Only the Houston Chronicle would put Aggie top ten based on potential.

Maybe they'll have a facilities National Championship. Then pergaps a team outside of the SE might have a chance to win it.

As the unnamed Chronicle staffer who pegged A&M No. 1 said, "Follow the money." No program has generated more over the past couple of years, and Aggies support their team win, lose or draw (even though there are no more draws). Now A&M just needs to win some titles.

No, I get it. t=They think because they got the great Jimbo Fisher, the reincarnation of Knute Rockne, that they are vaulted to top ten status.

We didn’t write this. The Chron is more a Longhorn paper, hence UT and OU ranked higher.

I think Texas and OU are ranked higher because they're unquestionably better programs based on the criteria laid out.

Wow, that is a vast gulf between 1 and 20.
Biggest drops are:
2 to 3 (33 points)
6 to 8 (12 points)
11 to 12 (15 points)
17 to 18 (12 points)

A&M is top 20, but no way are they top 10, and ahead of Florida no less. Florida has done more since 1990 than A&M has in its entire existence.
And I'm no Florida fan, but I smell home cooking from this "ranking."
