You can't place Notre Dame in that category. Otherwise Brian Kelly would have actually fielded a National Championship team there.

Did you watch the video? That’s precisely the point CC makes

the Tigers, like Southern Cal, are a “football factory.”
I wouldn't call USC a football factory, they've got too good of an academic reputation for that.
But LSU's athletic fund being bigger than their academic endowment definitely qualifies LSU to be considered a football factory.

Yeah the whole academic scandal was USC
Most of the people attending couldn't even meet a minimum requirement for any school.
Paying for academic rankings doesn't change what we already know now. The school has no academic qualities at all.

Dunno who she is, but I bet she could work a mean dick! SF!

Cowherd is an absolute idiot when talking college football. He’s a shock jock that ignores college until some big names are good at the very end of the year. Don’t go to him for educated football takes, regardless if you agree with the current take or not.

USC has had more players drafted during Saban’s tenure at Alabama?
That seems difficult to believe.

Collin Cowherd is a brilliant man who is always right. Everything said in this video is thus TRUTH

There is no way that’s correct.

Did y'all not pay attention to *how* that scandal unfolded? It tells you a lot about how athletics operate in academia. It wasn't just about rich parents paying for testers. Their kids were given athletic scholarships because 99 percent of universities use "special admittance" as a policy towards athletes. That means you get in even with lower academic credentials across ALL sports.
UT is the only SEC school that doesn't have it as a policy (one of the few period that doesn't). Instead, if an athlete can't get in via the normal means it's evaluated on a case by case as the trick to all college admissions is that there are always appeals and exceptions to be made but our committee has vetoed things before (Fulmer blamed it a lot). However, what the difference really means is you can't use the rugby team to get someone in as a special admit. We just don't have that method.

USC wasn't using it to admit people for sports though.
They were using it to admit people that in many cases literally never even played a sport before and never did once there.
It was just a cover for reporting purposes. Could be most of the students got in that eay. Who knows.

That seems difficult to believe.
Alabama has had more players drafted than USC since 2000, so it's really hard to believe that they have had more than Alabama since 2008 (the first draft for Bama players under Saban).
I'm right - Alabama has had 113 players drafted since 2008 (technically since 2009, as no players made it in the 2008 draft) while USC has had 78.
Interestingly USC had a 21-4 edge after the 2009 draft, and a 37-16 edge after the 2011 draft. Alabama surpassed USC with the 2017 draft and have out drafted them by at least 2:1 every draft since then.
Alabama also has 42 first round picks to USC's 17 over the same time frame (7 of those 17 were in the 2008 and 2009 drafts)
