I’m not crying. I’m actually laughing. It was a PR stunt that blew up in their face. As a former college football player, I can tell you exactly how that played out in the locker room. And then to read the article about how this new player, regardless of her gender (which didn’t help) or position on the team (which really didn’t help), had the audacity to yell at these guys who have sacrificed years of their lives to be in the position they’re in at halftime. Now this report of players “tearing up.” It’s a joke, and a terrible one at that.

As the father of a beautiful daughter, I encourage her to be whatever she wants in life. But I stop short of telling her to go compete for boys football. The gridiron is not a place for girls. At least not until they have a girls league. No more than the girls basketball team is a place for boys. The only person crying on this board is you. And the post has nothing to do with your team.
