All the people saying this were the ones picking Bama and Tua last year for the same reason.

How did that turn out?

Wat

I'm pretty sure Alabama and Clemson had both been there before.

This is a terrible argument

Clemson had a great defense and Alabama not so much.

Trevor threw up 50/50 balls to 8 foot tall WR on 5 foot corners and prayed and 90% of the time it worked. It was just a bad matchup with a rookie coordinator up against one of the great defensive minds just about ever.

This will not be an easy game for LSU by any stretch and any LSU fan that thinks this is an absolute hack.

You’re probably right.

However if Clemson comes out in the first like they did against Ohio State, LSU won’t let them hang around long enough to get their shite together. OSU should’ve buried them in the first 20 minutes. LSU won’t make that mistake.

If Clemson comes out playing like they did for the latter 40 minutes of the game, then it’ll be a tough, hard-fought game that could go either way.

I’m just hoping they start slow again so we can get a lead and dictate the game flow.

If LSU can dominate the first half like they have pretty much all season but especially the last four games, it’ll be awfully difficult for Clemson to climb out of that hole.

One of the most interesting dynamics for this game is the fact that neither team has ever really had to play from behind. Clemson’s 16-0 deficit against OSU is the only time they’ve had to come back. LSU has trailed for a few minutes here and there, but has pretty much led and led comfortably the entire season.

If one team does manage to get ahead by 14-20 points, it’ll be interesting to see if the other will be able to play from behind and get back in it.

The main difference between LSU and Ohio State is that LSU isn’t going to be held to 7 points over 2.5 quarters. In 14 games, LSU has scored 50+ in half of them, scored less than 36 just once (Auburn during a monsoon), and has been held to less than 42 points just 3 times all season (23, 36 and 37).

Clemson has had their share of high-scoring games, but they also had a couple like A&M and UNC that beg the question of whether their offense is in fact on the same level as LSU.

“Had” is the operative word. Clemson gave up 500 yards to Ohio State and played no one in the regular season.

But for two, dropped passes, a key injury and calls that went their way Clemson would be back in their off season weight program.

This LSU offense doesn't give a shite how much experience a team has. It is a machine. It will chew Clemson up into little pieces and spit it out into the Mississippi River. Experience did nothing for Oklahoma except provide a little false confidence.

Along with Ohio State, these are the only top 50 scoring defenses they've faced.
An average of 24.6 points game.

You didn't end your Nasa caliber thoughts on this subject with "Boom!" this time. Guess you weren't really into it today.
