The fact Tua will finish his career without a Heisman is a bit surreal

Historically, QBs of his caliber in the SEC have taken home the hardware.

He seemed like a lock in 2018, but Murray passed him late. Thought he would take it home this year too, but that was clearly derailed by his health and Burrow.

Hope he makes a full recovery and has a successful NFL career, but if you would have told me he wouldn't win a Heisman or another CFP championship after the NC pass to Smith, I would have thought you were crazy.

It really is.

I don't think anyone but those close to LSU football ops saw Burrow coming this year.

Peyton Manning did not win a Heisman.

No doubt.
Last year I thought he was a lock. He has skill for sure.

It’s incredible that Alabama’s best QB ever never got his Heisman

He got robbed IMO in 2018. His numbers were almost as good as Murray’s despite playing 300 less Snaps than Kyler, and on a bum knee.

Joe went out and won this one, this year

I mean, he was a stone cold lock through half of the season last year, and coming off that year, he was a shoe in this year, especially when Lawrence started off slow.

Just goes to show you need a little luck with your health and good timing to win it too.

True, but Tua slowed down at the end. Murray had the momentum, unfortunately.

I can think of several players over the years from the SEC that were more deserving than the ones who won, but Tua is definitely at the top of that list. He should have won in 2018.

The last like.....3-4 Heisman winners have been transfers in a new system.

He’ll finish it without a national championship he started too.

playing on an injured leg half the year and then another injury in the SEC title game will do that to you. He was the betting favorite to win last year before his injuries, and this year before the injury vs UT

I'm not sure if I believe in "prone to injury" but if it's a real thing, he may be. For damn sure he has had the worst injury luck of any elite player I can think of.

I don't care if he plays another down for Alabama but I hope and pray he heals and recuperates so he can earn some of the NFL money. It would be a shame that a player as talented as he is didn't get that chance.

That's crazy too, considering the team and way he played in 2017.

but the national title 2 years ago was clearly Tua's. I think Jalen was 3 of 8 for 21 yards and 0 points in the first half. In the 2nd half Tua threw for 3 tds and produced 26 points for the win.

Last year was a bit like The SF Giants' season where they won 103 games but missed the playoffs when The Braves beat them out for the division title, it ain't always fair.
Tua is without doubt among the best college QBs ever.

I think he deserved it last year over Kyler, but recency bias fricked him. He still achieved more than 99% of college athletes, so his career isn’t a failure by any means.

Tua will do plenty more in his career.

Tua also has not won an NC without Hurts helping him. In 2017 Hurts softened up the Georgia defense so Tua had an easy 2nd half. In 2018 Jalen bailed Tua out of a horrid performance and won the SECCG for him.
