Love all the threads being started by fans of cellar dwelling teams that lsu backups will still stomp. It Can get a little stale smashing you all the time. Threads like this keep it fun.

There are only 2-3 programs in the country that have the leadership and structure in place for sustained success.

LSU is like the heavyweight prize fighter that rises to the top, and then blows his purse on blackjack and cocaine and spends a few years in and out of rehab and prison.

Hahaha things are just getting started. Dude, LSU will take what amounts to a throw away year given all that happened and basically get a very young, talented team serious experience. What looked to be a reboot year, will be a rebuild year in an abbreviated schedule.

Hogs, Aggies, and Bulldogs fans would give their first born for a ticket on that ride just once.

Better to have had a dream and it have ended than to never have had a dream at all.

Let's take a look at how LSU sustained their success in those 3 seasons in the last 22 years (your arbitrary timeline, not mine)

In 2004 they went 9-3 after reaching the mountain top
In 2008 they went 8-5 after reaching the mountain top

They are now betting favorites in 2020 to finish 3rd in their division after reaching the mountain top.

From where I'm sitting, as the follower of a program that hasn't lost more than 2 games in a decade, my statement rings true. Dumb frick.

LSU rises up every now and then and returns right back to being a decent program. Lightning in a bottle happens from time to time. The structure is not in place for LSU to ever become the standard, there's a century+ worth of results to corroborate that.

Nothing to be ashamed of, there's actually a part of that that I envy, never knowing what you're going to get. I'm sure it makes the highs that much more thrilling.

Thanks, btw, Arkansas wishes they could make a similar statement.

Lol, bet we beat Ar-Kansas.

The garlic breaths down on the bayou for years have been sacrificing their daughters to be raped and having it covered up so what's the difference ?

True and they're kind of cute that way.
