Sounds like you just described New Orleans...where Tulane University is located. LSU and Baton Rouge are 85 miles upriver. While Baton Rouge's elevation of approx. 60 feet won't have anyone reaching for oxygen tanks...that hardly qualifies as "practically underwater" does it? Also, his profile indicates that he lives in Houston...which is even higher.

Bumping LSU down to number 2 is why this playoff committee is a freaking joke. Penn State wasn't even a legit top-ten team. As Minnesota, who is also not a top-ten team, just beat them. Yet the committee ranked them significantly above Minnesota at number 8.
Meanwhile, the committee, of course, put them in the number 8 spot obviously cause they knew that Penn State would play Ohio State soon. So they obviously did it to pad Ohio State's resume so they could then steal the top seed spot away from LSU and the SEC. As this so-called committee is obviously trying to screw over the SEC.
Nonetheless, regardless of the committee’s spin doctor’s lame argument, Penn State was not even a legit top ten team and furthermore, Ohio State still has not played, much less beaten a single legitimate top ten team yet this season. Not one!
While LSU, on the other hand, has already played and beaten four legitimate top-ten teams so far this season.
Moreover, even though Penn State was Ohio State's first true test of the season, Ohio State had to struggle mightily to beat them. As that game wasn’t decided until late in the fourth quarter.
Meanwhile, if LSU's defense is as bad as they claim it is, then LSU would have inevitably lost at least one of those four top-ten games they played so far already this season.
This playoff committee system is so damn bogus that it is utterly ridiculous. Expand the playoff immediately so the bias of the playoff committee will inherently become more diluted and more watered down.
Anytime you put people together, they are all going to lean for their favorites no matter what. It's just human nature and you can't take the human out of the committee members.
Until a system is devised that takes all humans out of the equation, there will always be a ton of bias in the equation no matter what and those on the wrong side of that bias, will inevitably get screwed. That’s just the way it is!
Therefore, no matter what anyone says, there are no legitimate National Champions. Only mythical ones.
Meanwhile, I read that Kirby Smart plans to run up the score on Georgia Tech Saturday. Yeah, he said UGA was going to score a whole 21 points on them. Man…isn’t it amazing how high octane that UGA offense is.
In any event, junior, I can’t wait to watch my LSU Tigers obliterate UGA in the Georgia Dome and eliminate all possibility of them being in the playoffs. Not that it matters, cause UGA’s offense is so weak and anemic they never had a chance, to begin with.
