The conundrum for Bama and why it's highly unlikely they'd be in even if TCU loses....

Where TCU would have a huge advantage...

- one loss to two losses and the one loss being the extra game they qualified for that Bama didn't.

- a much, much bigger win than anything Bama will bring to the table.

That's right. A TCU win gives them a perfect record, but a loss?

It will make KSU(the team that could beat them today) rise up in the rankings to 8 or more in all likelihood. They've already beaten KSU, so they can claim that big win. They're perfectly insulated.

You seem highly concerned about having to play Bama.

IF TCU gets beat, it comes down to STYLE points.

IF TCU gets blown out, 2 last play losses looks more stylish.

It’s why the starters were in versus Auburn to win by 22 instead of 15.

Who you lose to, and how you lose will be weighed along with how bad did you beat bad teams.

In the 12 team playoff, probably 3 to 4 and maybe even 5 SEC teams will get almost every year.

Couldn't care less. We'll have to play you or Ohio State one. Both would be teams with talent similar. Doesn't matter.

I'm just thinking through the arguments the committee would have to make that wouldn't make much sense. I mean, Bama over Tennessee doesn't make a whole lot, but they at least don't have to explain why they changed their mind on that one.

KState could end up at 6. And again, they'd have a win over number 6.

1. TCU would have the better resume
2. They already beat Kansas State
3. They’d have less losses
4. They’d have more top 25 wins
5. TCU beat the common opponent by more.
6. TCU has a Heisman finalist

The committee will most likely be fleshing out the top 4-6 first. There will be a lot of nuance to the conversation, and the fact that Bama’s 2 losses, while more than TCU’s hypothetical one, came on the the last play each in road games to ranked teams will be a big factor in Bama’s favor. I do think how TCU loses matters. Any more than a 7pt loss and they can easily slide out of the top 4.

Also, Bama is ranked above Tennessee likely due to two things.
A: Tennessee’s two losses were in convincing fashion, one being the absolute domination by South Carolina.
B: Hooker, who is heavily responsible for beating Bama, is no longer available

Bama's advantage: money and ratings

The system is already admittedly broken and changing in 2 years. There are no consequences to making a money decision.

That is cancelled out by a more recent loss. Ppl get upset that recency bias is a factor in this, but it should be. I don’t care if you beat a team over a month ago if that team just beat you in the most recent game. It’s like claiming you beat a team that was ranked in the top 5 at time of play. Who cares if they lost like 5 games after that lol

But what if Purdue wins and drops that OSU loss a bit more and Bama passes OSU?

And LSU wins, making Bama resume even better? May pass both.

Do you remember 2017?

I mean, what are we doing here? Changing things as we go along?

No one is concerned with having to play Bama. Everyone is tired of all your arrogant, entitled dick-head fans, your cheating refs, the Alabama-run SEC office and the media that gives you a free pass.

All you ignorant sister bangers can reply with is “melt” or “yur skurred”. If Mike Judge ever decides to make a prequel to Idiocracy, it will be a documentary on Alabama.

I think most Bama fans understand they're not getting in (about a 5% chance if TCU loses). They're just enjoying trolling everyone and it seems to be working.

LSU or TeNN should get in before that shite show of a team in Bama.
