To figure out who the true #1 team is.

Clemson looks like they will repeat. Bama should actually be getting two touchdowns in this game. Kind of surprised they aren’t. Clemson is playing the best ball in the country outside of Oklahoma right now. And it pains me to admit that because frick Dabo Sweeney. But it’s true.

This kind of shite is exactly why I couldn't figure out why they went away from the BCS and just use it for the top 4 in the playoff. It would be more fair than having a group of people picking.
I would be curious who the top 4 would be this season in the BCS formula, is it still out there to be seen?

The number 4 team is a toss-up every single year. No amount of playoff expansion will eliminate controversy over who gets in. The only reason we have the 4-team was because there was often a well-deserving 3rd team and in years past one of the top 3 would've been left out which wouldn't be right this year. As for the 4th team, you could coin flip it this year. All that matters is that we find the true #1
