Cam WAS Auburn. Without him 2010 Auburn wins 7 games....maybe.

You are a moron. Compare the surrounding cast and let's debate.

Joe Burrow is the man. I always wished he went to Cincinnati but he chose Ohio State and later LSU. WIll be a multi-time Super Bowl champion and mvp.

Nice rushing stats, baw.

We always see people debate what Cam would've done on the 2019 LSU team when we debate who had the better season between Joe and Cam.

Or I can just say
“Here is what Joe did. Here is what Cam did. Joe owns every record. Cam doesn’t. ” and win the debate

Aren’t rushing yards and TDs included in Cam’s numbers?

Yes they are
Passing, rushing, and even receiving for both included.
ETA: Even Auburn fans are in disbelief of the gap between Joe’s numbers and Ma’am’s numbers

Burrow had the better supporting cast but is still a better QB.
Both QBs were phenomenal and were the decisive factor in each team’s championship.
Neither QB would have won the national title on the other team. Styles are too different.

Cam didn’t have the weapons.
This is what people fail to realize. Cam was the only player from that Auburn offense in a skill postion that played in the NFL.
Joe B. had
RB: Clyde Edwards-Helaire
WR: Justin Jefferson
WR: Ja’Marr Chase
WR: Terrace Marshall

I wonder if Cam ever got shut out at home.

Cam could have definitely won a title with the 2019 LSU squad.
He may not have had the crazy passing numbers Burrow put up, but he makes up for a lot of that with his legs. It wasn't like Cam was a garbage passer either. It's just two polar opposite offenses. Cam had multiple games where he didn't even attempt 15 passes. (Just looked and he had 4 games with 15 or fewer)Burrow's season low for attempts was 24 (twice) and multiple games with over 40.

Those weapons would mean nothing because Cam wasn’t a good quarterback. He was big and fast.
He didn’t have a good arm and he didn’t have the ability to read, react, and carve up a defense.
He had the ability to run. That does nothing for Clyde and those WR’s. And that’s why no one around Cam put up good numbers… End of discussion.

something Cam would not have provided.
Cam could have come much closer to providing the arm with that group of receivers than Burrell could provide the running ability.
As a pure athlete Cam would beat the brakes off of Burrell.

I don’t think we beat Auburn (poetic) with Cam that year. We barely handled business with Joe. If we had been more run centric that game because of Cam, it would have been much worse.
Then again, we could have gone 12-1 and made the playoffs that year, so maybe we do win it all with Cam. So fair enough.
I think the team is definitely worse with Cam though—not directly weighing in on which QB is better in the abstract, just in context.

Dude set rookie passing records and won an MVP in the pass happy NFL, but not a good QB. Good analysis.
