The Cam Newton vs Joe Burrow debate

We always see people debate what Cam would've done on the 2019 LSU team when we debate who had the better season between Joe and Cam. but what do yall think Joe Burrow would've done on the 2010 Auburn team. That 2010 Auburn offense was worse at every position outside of QB and maybe RB. I say 9 wins max with Joe at QB
Arkansas State

It's tough to say.
So much of Auburn's success in 2010 was based on Cam's running ability (he led the conference in rushing yards and TDs). That is not something Burrow could've provided.
Conversely, so much of LSU's success in 2019 was off of Burrow's arm, accuracy, and awareness, something Cam would not have provided.

Cam didn’t have the weapons.

Actually, your's is the first mention I have seen of it...

Both QB’s perform significantly worse of switched teams.

Cam Newton’s supporting cast and coaching was far below what Joe Burrow had to work with.
That isn’t even arguable.

Burrow had a much better season statistically but Cam didn’t have near as many weapons. So you really can’t say but If I had to choose I would choose 2020 Mac Jones

Do we really?

Could you imagine how awesome Cam would have been with 2019 LSU? Tons of NFL weapons for him.

BS. Why would Cam do worse with LSU? His run threat alone would have teams having to stack the box and then having elite receivers in 1-on-1 matchups.

Cam was never outplayed by Felipe Franks. The end.

I agree Cam would be a better fit on 2019 LSU than Burrow would be on 2010 Auburn. I think most would agree to that.
Cam would be throwing to two great NFL receivers and Burrow would be throwing to Darvin Adams and Emory Blake. Both would be protected by good offensive lines.
The biggest difference is Auburn's running game, which was the best in the country, but Cam was a big part of that.

Why do we have to compare? They were both great players.

Huh? Cam had a passer rating of 182 without having a single weapon who was eventually drafted.
