I agree that Ark. Will be fine either way. Even with Nutt ark was always a team to be respected. I just think the boss/employee ethical side is a bit much for any employer to lightly dismiss. I'm really not concerned about the moral side. People are messing around all over the place. With BP's personality I pretty much expect this type of behavior. I am a bit surprised that even BP would be so brazen as to openly ride around on a motorcycle in that area with a pretty young lady with him. I had no idea BP's arrogance was so pronounced. This whole situation looks like self destructive behavior.

And I agree. I think most of us were surprised, not simply of his arrogance (we were aware of that), but his level of arrogance combined with blind stupidity. He needs to be taken down a few notches. Solid post.

True - if the girl sues. Sovereign immunity does not limit the foundation from giving her a godzillian dollars if that's what they think it will take for this this to go away.

Porky I feel for Ark fans. This is a real kick in the gut. I know you'll will get thru this. I don't envy the AD his job dealing with this. I hope the AD is swift to put this situation behind you'll, whatever he decides.
Can you imagine how the AD must feel. A few days ago he's sitting around in his office admiring the beautiful spring weather, smelling the proverbial flowers, basking in the success of Ark sports. Then his secretary says, excuse me sir we have a small problem.

We have a good AD. He will conduct a thorough review and then act in the best interests of the scoo.

Personally, I think BMFP needs a foot shoved up his tail. Take some of the discipline he is known for. What an arrogant jerk.

Thanks. Yea, everything goes from "really great news" and BP's going to pull through, to "what a stupid, arrogant dumbass", at the flip of a switch. It does make it have a much more profoundly negative impact. And Jeff Long is really a good dude. He has to be pissed.

She isn't getting a pay day.

This. The question I've been asking myself since this broke is, "How has she been wronged?" Why does the school owe her anything?

The payoff would have come if the school had found out about the affair BEFORE it became public. That's hush money. What is giving her a pot full of cash going to do now?

Nothing. The damage is done.

The ONLY thing might be to avoid a sexual harassment lawsuit, since he was her boss. She might come out and say that she feared for her job if she didn't sleep with him. Other than that, I don't see any reason to pony up the dough.

The Crazy dude in the video who looks like he unhinged, well, he is. That's a guy known down on Dickson as "Crazy Eric". He's part of the local/half homeless, clinically insane local color down there. Hilarious that they asked his opinion.

That's a little like going to Austin and interviewing Leslie Cochran (RIP) about the football program.

Bottom line, Bobby pissed on us. I can still hope for the best, but that hurt.

The four years he has been here have given no indication that we could ever expect something this absurd. Most of the media hate came at him after he had already signed on to be our coach.

The average fan has no voice, and we got kicked in the balls by Bobby. Regardless of what happens, that is how I feel.

I understand you're trying to make some type of argument that the public institution of Arkansas benefits from the 11th Amendment in this case but posting stuff like, "a degree of sovereign immunity," just leads me to believe you have no idea what you're actually talking about.

i didnt make any argument. from what ive read, even if she could sue,, the amount she would be able to collect is limited. this is from other posters who are more familiar with the law than i am. Its not an argument. Arguments are slightly more complex than what i typed above.

No, i dont know much about arkansas state law. This was garnered from others who know more about it than myself. IF judgements against the state university are not limited by law, feel free to post the damn law. Im not presenting myself as an expert. If you know the applicable statute, constitutional amendment and caselaw, feel free to post it so the matter can be cleared up. if not, piss off.

Yea, I kinda wondered about that too but unless he was peppered with rock salt, it doesn't appear to be the case.

I can't say that I would have blamed but it definitely wouldn't have been in his best interest to do so.

He's very fortunate, but I'll bet it doesn't feel like that to him at the moment.
