LSU has all season to prove themselves. No worries over preseason disrespect
I would say this is more like rollover post-season disrespect from getting beat by a Clemson team without Sammy Watkins and getting out-coached by Dabo Swinney.

This does seem to happen to Les Miles' teams fairly often

Don't you have to win something at least every 30 years or so to be considered "BIG" anything?

That's because his teams win in spite of him

And return more starters than both of those teams. More is made of our lost starters because almost all were drafted.
Not more than USC....both teams return 11 players who started at least 5 games in 2013, according to their official stats summaries. This is from both O and D units: if you count special teams, LSU only returns their kick and punt returner, who is the same guy (Beckham). I guess you count him as 2 guys, or positions?? USC returns their punter, and the KR and PR they have slated to start at this time (Ellington and Hampton) were full-season starters, so you COULD argue that USC overall returns 14 starters at positions, while LSU only returns 13....
The big thing to also consider however would be the depth for LSU. Most projected depth charts I've seen for LSU's 2-deep only have 3 seniors (RB Blue, FB Neighbors, and WR Boone) and one Junior (OG Fanaika), and Fanaika was in JUCO last season.
The rest of the projected 2-deep consists of 10 sophomores and 8 freshmen. That may bode very well for LSU's future, but for 2013 it could be some tough sledding.....
LSU shows 8 returning starters on offense with 5 or more starts, and only 3 returning starters on defense. USC has 6 returning starters on offense, and 5 on defense...

No mulligans this year? Lets see last time LSU-Ga played ,LSU won the seccg, while bama after losing at home to LSU already, played ,umm, with thierselfs I guess.Since they didn't even win their division.It pays to lose in Alabama
It's really astonishing how some sad sack LSU fans are still trying to get mileage out of this going on two years after the fact.

Yeah... But all of the defensive starters LSU lost were not as good as the players who were backing them up... The only reason they were even backups is because Miles was sandbagging the rest of the conference.

Fact= LSU was 1-1 vs Bama that year.
LSU beat Bama at Bama.
Bama beat LSU at a netural site.
LSU= SEC champion
Bama= 3rd in the SEC
LSU played the more difficult schedule and had the more impressive wins that season: beating SEC 3rd place Bama, beating SEC 2nd place UGA, beating Pac 10 champ/Rose bowl champ Oregon, beating Big East champ/Orange bowl champ West Virgina.

Your freaking right.
What makes matters worst is I feel Miles did not play LSU's best playes that game. Lee should have came in the 2nd quarter. Jeffeson was horrible.
Reminder, in the SEC championship LSU did not get their "first" first down of the entire game until half way in the 3rd quarter. And Miles still would not pull Jefferson.

I love how prior to that game, LSU fans were parroting Les Miles' comments about how he would be honored to play Alabama again and saying that we were the second best team in the country and that nobody outside of the SEC was worth a shite.
The thing is... they were right.
The thing is... they were right.
